Research

Dr. A. Sergeyev research interests in the areas of adaptive optics and data fusion include high energy laser propagation through turbulent atmosphere, digital inline holography, and laser spectroscopy. He is also deeply involved in developing new eye-tracking experimental techniques for extracting 3-D shapes of objects from the movement of human eyes.

Dr. Brian Davis is studying the gap between microprocessor and memory system cycle times under an NSF CAREER Award.   His research will examine the potential for improved performance when the memory controller changes from a static control policy to a dynamic control scheme. This impact will be simulated over a variety of interconnection topologies from the current NorthBridge to a CMP architecture with multiple DRAM busses.
