Amos and Irwin Earn National Association of Industrial Technology Honors

Associate Professor John Irwin (School of Technology) presented a paper, "Enhancement of CAM Course Using Emulation Software," communicating results from action research during a spring 2007 School of Technology course, “Computer Aided Manufacturing," at the 2007 National Association of Industrial Technology 40th Annual Convention held Oct. 23-27 in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Prof. Irwin, newly elected University Division Region 1 director of the association, was recipient of a $250 first-time NAIT presenter/attendee mini-grant award. Irwin was also nominated and inducted as an Exemplary Initiate Member of the Epsilon Pi Tau Honors Society. Plans are in place for the School of Technology to start an Epsilon Pi Tau chapter on campus in 2008.

Scott Amos, School of Technology dean and past president of the association's University Division, was recognized by the University Division as the NAIT Outstanding Industrial Technology Professor for 2007.
