Lesson Plan:

Electronic Devices and Circuits

Date:

Nov 29-Dec 3, 2004

Course No.:

EET2221 & EET2222

Week:

13

Unit:

Unit 4 – The Operational Amplifier

Instructor:

Prof. Powers

Objective:

Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to:

·         Describe the basic operational-amplifier (op-amp) and its characteristics.

·         Discuss op-amp modes and several parameters.

·         Explain negative feedback in op-amp circuits.

·         Analyze the noninverting, voltage-follower, and inverting op-amp configurations.

·         Describe the impedances of the three op-amp configurations.

·         Discuss op-amp compensation.

·         Analyze the open-loop response of an op-amp.

·         Analyze the closed-loop response of an op-amp.
