The CNSA program offers our students highly-competitive co-ops and internships. Students experiencing internships and co-ops are very important for several reasons. First, it provides great real-world experience to the student, which is seen as a benefit to future employers. Secondly, it helps the student attain an excellent preview of a possible profession to help them in making a better educated decision on their career path.

Co-ops and internships are available in a variety of fields which include network engineering, network security, systems administration, wireless design and implementation, and server development.

Over the past year the CNSA program has continued to develop new and exciting co-ops and internships for its students, while maintaining and continuing previously established co-ops and internships. The following is an abbreviated list of where students have been completing co-ops and internships:

  • Harley-Davidson
  • Los Alamos National Security Lab (LANL)
  • Toyota
  • Marshfield Clinic
  • Copper Country Intermediate School District (CCISD)
  • Sentry Insurance
  • Kimberly-Clark

This co-op grants these students to work as Information Services Interns, where they apply their technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to “real-world” issues, while gaining valuable industry experience.
