The CNSA program was established at Michigan Tech in 2003 and continues to be one of the fastest growing programs on campus due to its strong curriculum, innovative labs, and opportunities that it provides to our graduates. Our Bachelor of Science degree prepares students for exciting and challenging careers in areas such as:

  • Network/Systems Engineering
  • Systems and Network Security
  • VoIP Engineering
  • Network/Systems Administration
  • Technical Operations Management

Our multi-disciplinary curriculum has been strategically designed to offer students a comprehensive and advanced education in these specialized areas. This is accomplished by combining concepts and theories from lectures and recitations with hands-on labs that allow the student to solidify the theoretical material through practical applications that replicate industry. This provides graduates of our program the ability to truly understand the technology and become an asset to their employers from day one.

"...(CNSA) is taking steps to see that the students are ready to hit the ground running when they leave school."

"...only university in the state to make the list and was cited for involving undergraduates in information technology and system administration at the earliest stages of their careers."
