Biography:

Dr. Alex Sergeyev is currently an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Technology program in the School of Technology at Michigan Technological University. Dr. Alex Sergeyev is earned his bachelor degree in electrical engineering in Moscow University of Electronics and Automation in 1995. He worked as a specialist in computer equipment from 1995 to 1998 and as a manager of IT department from 1998 to 2000 in Bank "Rossiysky Credit" in Moscow, Russia. Dr. Alex Sergeyev received his Master degree in Physics from Michigan Technological University in 2004 and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2007.

Dr. Alex Sergeyev research interests include high energy lasers propagation through the turbulent atmosphere, developing advanced control algorithms for wavefront sensingand mitigating effects of the turbulent atmosphere, digital inline holography, digital signal processing, and laser spectroscopy. He is also involved in developing new eye-tracking experimental techniques for extracting 3-D shape of the object from the movement of human eyes.
